The Cheshire Tree Warden network is coordinated by Cheshire Landscape Trust and was set up in 1991. It now has 175 Tree Wardens in 134 parishes across the county.
Cheshire Landscape Trust donates free trees to each Tree Warden and last year gave away over 6000 plants to various projects including: landscaping around a village hall, a new hedgerow alongside a public footpath and trees for a community meadow.
The Trust runs annual training events for Tree Wardens on orchard management, drystone walling and tree planting. Tree Wardens can also get involved in annual tree and hedgerow surveys and are all invited to quarterly meetings.
