The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority Tree Warden Network has been running since 2004 and was the second scheme to be launched in Wales.
The network currently has around 60 'Tree Champions' including Tree Surgeons and Community Councillors, spread fairly evenly throughout the Park; Past training events have included tree planting, orchard management and hedge laying as well as other indirect tree training such as bat detector usage in local woods.
Ongoing projects include the Tree Wardens planting community orchards throughout Pembrokeshire and gathering information on interesting trees in their local area.
To become a Tree Warden you do not need specific skills - just a love of trees!
