The Edinburgh Tree Warden scheme is coordinated by the Trees and Woodlands Project Officer in City Development at The City of Edinburgh Council and has been running since 2003. In 2007 there have been just over 40 Tree Wardens covering most of Edinburgh but some areas still need Tree Wardens.
I would encourage you to join the scheme if you want to help protect Edinburgh's urban forest. There is no age limit and no experience is necessary, some training will be provided and we try to hold at least one event each month. Useful guides produced by the Tree Council will also help you to do more to protect our trees and woodlands in this quickly developing city.
