Riverside is one of the UK's leading social housing and regeneration organisations, owning or managing around 50,000 properties throughout England from Carlisle to Kent.
While we benefit from being a large national organisation, our service delivery is localised through a network of neighbourhood offices that work with our customers, developing services that make a real difference to their daily lives.
Our record of achievement dates back to our inception as Liverpool Improved Houses in 1928. The 1970s saw the organisation grow rapidly and in 1996 it expanded beyond Merseyside to become Riverside Housing. The Riverside Group was founded in 2001 and in April 2009 Community Seven, Bowlee Park Housing, Berrybridge Housing, Lee Valley Housing Association, Carlisle Housing Association, Riverside North East, Riverside Housing and The Riverside Group amalgamated to become Riverside.
Using our 80 years experience and our expertise in neighbourhood management, we deliver both large scale and highly specialised housing and regeneration projects, tailored to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
In addition to general needs affordable properties for rent and shared ownership, we provide sheltered and supported housing and services for elderly, homeless and vulnerable people, We also invest in community projects, from youth engagement schemes aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour to credit union grants to tackle financial exclusion.
Our vision is transforming lives, revitalising communities. Our values are:
Focusing on customers
Respecting the individual
Working together
Going for it and sticking with it
Communicating positively and listening to understand
Challenging the conventional
Maximising value, minimising waste
