  • Description: Bring a spade if you can, though we will have a few for you to borrow. As the site is likely to be muddy please wear sensible footwear and bring warm and wet weather clothing in case the weather is unkind. Bring along friends and family – everyone is welcome!

    The site is located alongside the A167. Please park in the overflow car park of the Honest Lawyer Hotel (DH1 3SP). From here it is a 15 minute walk to the planting area which will be signposted on the day.

    Please meet at the new car park at Low Burnhall which is located just off the A177, coming from Durham, on the left hand side immediately before you get to the Cock of the North roundabout where the A167 intersects with the A177. Car Park will be signposted on the day.  Alternatively the site can be accessed by public footpaths and makes an enjoyable walk  from either the Honest Lawyer or the Botanical Gardens
