  • Description: Thornbrook Wood was planted in 2006, and many of the trees in this wood are now over 5 feet tall! The site really is starting to feel like a proper little woodland now! Come and see how the trees you helped us plant are doing six years on.

    Covering 3.75 hectares and is planted with 7975 native broadleaved trees and shrubs. Species include Oak, Rowan, Alder, Birch, Wild Cherry, Field Maple, Goat Willow, Crab Apple, Holly, Hazel, Guelder Rose, Hawthorn, Blackthorn and Dogwood. The trees have been individually protected with tree guards to prevent rabbit damage.If you’d like to see this well established woodland for yourself and find out more, the open day is your chance.
