Luston Primary School Weeping Willow
This is one of The Tree Council’s 60 educational tree planting schemes with children that
were inspired by the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Each tree, provided by The Tree
Council, was chosen and planted by volunteers in the community.
We asked a willing parent to dig a large hole and everyone – governors, teachers and students – participated in the planting of a beautiful weeping willow, our special Jubilee Diamond Tree at Luston Primary School in Herefordshire.
It is exciting to wonder what the future holds for our new tree: one day a castle, the next a cave or an outdoor classroom. The opportunities for outside fun are endless, once the tree has grown a bit.
